If you haven't yet started your health coaching training journey, you need to complete our 4-day Intermediate Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Coaching first. We run these programmes regularly, and we can advise you on dates so you can move straight into your preferred Practitioner II cohort. We can help you choose the right options to get started. ​​​​​

​The full course is suitable for those who are looking to achieve verification of their coaching competence, knowledge and understanding, benchmarked to national body standards such as those set by the Personalised Care Institute, the UKIHCA, the EMCC and the NHSE Workforce Framework for Health and Wellbeing Coaches.​

Our Practitioner II programme, is accredited by the Royal Society of Public Health (RSPH) at a Level 3 Certificate in Health Coaching - a qualification regulated by Ofqual.​​​
Good to know: the 4-day programme runs regularly, but thePractitioner II "stand alone" element only starts quarterly — in October, January, April and July — with an introductory session followed by 12 monthly Professional Development sessions (usually 9–10.30am, on Tuesdays or Thursdays depending on the intake). Because of this, the right start date depends on your situation, which is why we have provided an enquiry questionnaire to help us to guide you to the right course.

Course Pre-requisites
Following attendance on the 4-day PCI Accredited Intermediate Certificate in Health & Wellbeing Coaching you can join the Practitioner II Certificate on one of our quarterly intakes (October, January, April or July). Our entry requirements stipulate that you should have:​​​​​​​​​​​​

Attended our 4-day Intermediate Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Coaching, or PCI accredited equivalent course. (You don't need to have completed our Practitioner I Certificate)

Be an active health coaching practitioner or in a role where they regularly use a health coaching approach.

The course content and learning outcomes are in line with the UKIHCA Professional Standards and Scope of Practice for health coaching training and practice, EMCC coaching competencies and the Personalised Care Institute Level 2 and 3 curriculum for health coaching.
Course Length
​Following completion of the 4-day course, this usually takes around 9-12 months
Course Structure
The Practitioner II Certificate builds on our Intermediate Certificate and Practitioner I Certificate and includes regular tutor-facilitated reflective practice, as well as learner led work.
You will complete 50 hours of health and wellbeing coaching (100 hours if you haven't completed the Practitioner I Certificate), as well as a portfolio.

The portfolio will enable you to demonstrate your knowledge, understanding and skills in health coaching as well as giving you the space to reflect on practice and gather feedback from peers and clients.

Comprehensive online resources are provided to support your learning, and you will have support from a dedicated course tutor.
Course Assessment
The assessment process for the Practitioner II Certificate in Health & Wellbeing Coaching includes:

Submission of a 50 hour health coaching log (100 hours if you haven't completed our Practitioner I Certificate)

Submission of a portfolio to evidence your evolving coaching competencies

Attendance at an oral assessment (this is a 30-45 minute formative, supervisory process)
