Introduction
As 2025 winds down, it felt like a good moment to pause, look back on the year at Peak, and share a bit about where we’re heading next.
If you’ve listened to our recent podcast, you’ll know I don’t send Christmas cards. I’ve also never written one of those family Christmas letters proudly updating everyone on little Jonny’s Grade 8 piano or Sarah’s four A*s. So if this feels a bit like that… sorry. But in case you’re interested — here goes.
First things first
We know this year has been another tough one for the NHS and for everyone working on the frontline — across hospitals, ambulance services, social and community care, and workplaces.
What matters to us at Peak is this: creating environments where people can thrive, not just survive. That’s the lens we bring to all our work.
A few highlights from 2025
Some moments that really stand out for us:
Supporting health coaches (and others) through coaching supervision — whether one-to-one or in groups. Honestly, this is one of the best parts of my week. Thank you for showing up and doing such meaningful work.
Training two cohorts of thoughtful, reflective supervisors who are now supporting colleagues through health coaching supervision.
Training WorkWell coaches, helping people stay in work or find their way back after illness.
Working with stroke teams to use health coaching approaches in hospital and community settings.
Hosting our third Personalised Care Conference in June — 'Enabling Agency and Wellbeing'. Always a highlight, to see so many of you in person and we’re already getting excited about the next one on the 6th May!
Delivering PCI-accredited Care Co-ordinator training, helping colleagues explore the role beyond the admin-heavy version many inherit.
Reviewing and refreshing our courses (still ongoing), based on your feedback and developments in the field, including adding an extra module to our Pain Management and Recovery Programme.
Working with leaders who genuinely want to raise the bar on colleague wellbeing, with health coaching at the heart of it.
Seeing a real surge in interest in our half-day “What Matters to You?” training for Bands 2–4, making sure what matters most doesn’t get lost as people move through the system.
And yes… launching our own podcast, Health Coaching and Beyond. We’re learning as we go, so kind feedback is always welcome.
Looking ahead to 2026
More of the same — and then some.
More supervision (and more supervisors)
We’re genuinely excited that UKIHCA’s 2026 vision includes creating a 'culture of health coaching supervision', with supervision becoming a CPD requirement. We’re delighted to play our part, including training more supervisors (some of our own associates too) to support colleagues doing this vital work.
Supporting PCI Plus, AHWBC and UKIHCA
We’re keen to support anything that strengthens personalised care roles. Expect free webinars and shared resources with these partners to support your CPD.
Health Coaching in Neighbourhoods
This feels like a real opportunity for Care Co-ordinators, Social Prescribers and Health Coaches to shine — supporting people and communities to take more ownership of their health and wellbeing. We’ll offer whatever support we can, including our experience using activation to tailor care and show impact and our partnership with Pure Unity Health.
Supporting people to go further (if they want to)
We know completing the PCI-accredited Intermediate Certificate is a big investment of time and energy. For many, it’s just the start. We want to make it easier for people to progress to Practitioner II — and, for some, all the way to the full Diploma.
Health coaching in Workplaces
With sickness absence and presenteeism at record levels, we believe health coaching has a real role to play — helping people stay well at work and return with confidence after periods of ill health. We’re already working with organisations inside and outside the NHS to make this happen.
More for pain management and recovery
Our pain programme is now modular, so people can dip into what they need most. Module 1 remains the foundation, and our new Module 3 adds more skills and hopeful approaches for supporting people living with pain.
More 'Health Coaching and Beyond'
We’ll keep working to make this an uplifting, energising weekly listen. If there’s someone you’d love us to talk to, let us know!
However you’re ending the year, whether busy, tired, hopeful, or all three, we hope you’re able to pause and take care of yourself.
Thank you for being part of Peak Health Coaching. We’re really looking forward to what comes next.
